It's less direct, definitely more of a cohesive link between defence and midfield and then on to attack. very few aimless long balls, we keep possession more and dominated in Harlow's half for periods. Macca and Lamont had more options when they looked up, with Kaloczi and Smith picking up intelligent positions. Lyle Della-Verde is an out and out winger, seems to have a good "pedigree" but looked short of match fitness perhaps.

Youngster Minhas was decent today, playing on the shoulder and being a nuisance but we missed two great second-half chances and overall we looked tentative upfront. Buchanan would have enjoyed this team more...

conditions were also tricky. very windy in the shadow of the Poundland.

i don't see much point in investing in a top striker now that the season's gone. we'll get a couple more wins, no doubt. Burgess Hill next Saturday.

Casuals have Tonbridge, Dorking and Carshalton next.
