Arsenal were formed in 1886 as Dial Square. The original kit was Red Shirts with White Shorts. The storey about the Nottingham Forest players giving Arsenal their first set of all Red shirts has now been questioned as there is no evidence to support this.

Arsenal did wear Red and White Hoops at least twice in the FAC in 1936 away to Liverpool and Barnsley.
