A draft of a proposed amended version of the Supporters Club Constitution for approval at our forthcoming AGM.(7pm Friday 14 August 2020).

The key changes aim to reflect the wider role that the Supporters Club has developed in promoting community engagement, helping facilitate communication with fans and also promoting equalities and diversity.(see new 2.2 and 2.5).

It will now also reflect the fact that apart from three key Officer roles, we elect committee members and the Committee then allocates roles.

It modernises the language and therefore changes Chairman and Vice Chairman to Chair and Vice Chair throughout.

It is also amends throughout changing “Executive Committee” to “Committee” to reflect practice in recent years.

The requirement to have a Finance Committee is deleted and replaced by a requirement to have an Equalities and Diversities Sub Committee

Changes to, 6.1, 6.6 and 6.10 are designed to reflect actual practice around timescales for convening the AGM.

An amended 4.4 deals with cautions and expulsions and is changed in order to make this fairer.
