"I leave the club in a much more stable position than when I took over. We achieved our aim of returning to the National League North, we are within the borough, albeit not in the heart of Kettering, and we are debt free. There have been for me more highs than lows, a few mistakes on the way but I would hope that the fan base would see my tenure as a positive period in the clubs long and rich history."
^ This bit of the article gave me a chuckle when I thought what would the Kingstonian translation of this be at this present time if this was us:
"We leave the club a little bit more buggered than when we took over. We achieved playing in 4 different postcodes, we moved back within the borough albeit not in the heart of Kingston... not that it matters either way since we are now in bloody Tooting & we might be debt free but you peasants will never get to see our accounts so we can say what we like. There have been for us more lows than highs, a catalogue of mistakes on the way but we hope the fan base will see our tenure with much delusion as a positive period in this clubs long & rich history."
