TL;DR from the whole thread below:

The manager is new and needs time. His record so far gives cause for concern.
The changes to the squad are unsettling for everyone.
Without Craig Edwards coming in when he did last season, we'd have been relegated.

I’m not buying into this Dynan bull. I’ve seen quality Bostik Premier players replaced with average Division 1 players and at an alarming rate. He could have added that in his 13 games since he arrived we have won 4 drew 3 and lost 6 in which we played five games against teams from lower levels which include two of the wins. In fact in his reign we have conceded 24 Goals in 13 games which coincidentally is almost 90 goals over the course of a season but playing teams from a lower level. We have also dropped from 8th in the league to 15th and falling sharply. Walk the walk Dynan.

We had actually conceded 25 goals in the preceding 13 games under Craig and Rambo. We had seen a few flashes of brilliance but three disastrous collapses. We were 8th but had played more than most around us in the league.

At least we have seen a couple of clean sheets recently. Let’s give them a chance to develop as a side. We can not expect guaranteed success and need to be patient and get behind the team and the manager

Yes, I think this was the point leigh was making. We were 8th but with a GD suggesting it was a false position.

I refuse to get exercised about anything at ks except the fact we're homeless.

Yep this doesn't look good at all. First we don't check out the 'exaggerations' he made I presume at interview and then repeats whilst in the job and we then release established players for at very best future possibilities at huge cost!!

The latest signing I checked hardly scored at all in a Farnborough team that was promoted and that scored over 80 goals last season and seems a typical non league journeyman coming to the end of his career and certainly won't have been cheap.

His notes sound like everything else-exagerration and dreaming. We didn't deserve to beat Dorking, we had a very good 20 minute spell which just about sums up every game he's had-well they are 90+ minutes in a game so we've got a long way to go. I wasn't at Leiston but the reports state that, despite the one early chance, we were always second best and never really threatened to get anything out of the game after going 2-0 down despite having some possession.

This is the problem when you appoint an almost unknown manager with only a couple of months semi success at a lower level. The long term contract is going to bite us big time.

Rant over, Dynan stop talking exaggerated rubbish and get it right on the pitch which is what we all want and I will be the first to applaud

That seems a harsh assessment to me. He wants to be manage the Ks which is one up on the previous incumbent. There has been a massive turnover of players as a result of Edwards storming off. One can hardly blame Dynan for bringing in players he knows well. He has played a lot of cup games where a lot of players were cup tied so he could not try to settle a team.

For all these reasons I am not leaping to attack him. He seems keen to communicate through the programme and he is working to a plan. Frankly it is nice that our manager is bullish and upbeat.

Given where we are literally no one was going to go on a victorious streak after Edwards and three quarters of the team stomped off.

I am really looking forward to watching us over the festive season and hopefully we will compete in these games and pick up pints.

I'm completely with the Count on this, Leigh has had a lot of adverse circumstances to deal with that aren't down to him. The time to start looking at his suitability for the job is when he's had a decent crack at impossing his vision on a settled team, HIS team. If after say what 10 - 15 games of a generally settled side we aren't seeing something good then it could be valid to start asking questions,it certainly isn't right now.

Oh come on that's hardly a valid comparison is it. Edwards walked into a dressing room full of 'lost' talent, all he had to do was kick arse big time and it worked brilliantly. A huge chunk of that talent then left over the summer even though Craig was still in the chair. What happened after that was mainly unfulfilled potential because Craig was working at a bit less than 100% commitment to the job. What Leigh inherited from Edwards was considerably less than Craig inherited from Tommy. One was a team that had lost its desire, the other was a very messy work in progress.

Edwards walked into a team 21st in the division after 40 games. Dynan walked into a team 8th after 15 games 2 points off of the play-offs and the only side to have defeated Billericay in the league so I’d say that Dynan walked into a considerably stronger team. In the 6 league games since we have seen 1 win and 2 wins in 5 against lower league opposition with changes on a daily basis. A very messy work in progress.

If you consider that progress I’ll wait with baited breath to be proved wrong.

What Craig left was a false league position - others have pointed this out, and a very 'fluid' team structure. Leigh has stated his intentions of having a team who's members play to his ideas of what is expected on the pitch and he has been building HIS team. Agreed right now for fans we don't know what to expect it's not pretty, and whether or not Leigh turns out to be a great tactician or a clueless bulls*** merchant only time will tell. Right NOW is not the time to make that decision as a fan either way, give the guy a chance to prove himself.

A false League position? Did we steal points unknowingly? Did we sneakily con the sides below us that we had obtained more points than they had?
When I last looked League positions were determined first and foremost on points gained and not on the opinions or judgements of anyone even you and the ‘others’
Are we presently in a ‘false position’? Perhaps if we drop into the dreaded drop zone we will get a reprieve on the grounds of being in a ‘false posiotion’

Apologies for using a widely recognised footy forum term, it's meaning is exactly as Rex says. Currently in our division it could be argued Billericay, Harrow and Leatherhead league positions are 'false', elsewhere the Heybridge league position is particularly 'false'.

EDIT OK we can take Billericay out of false position frame after last night.

Be pedantic sure, but don't be a twunt.

A "false league position" means (I presume, and Krinkly can correct me if I'm wrong) simply that we'd played more games at that point than the other teams around us.

Craig did a brilliant job remotivatng and re organising an existing group of players. Yes he saved our skins for which Iwill always be grateful . However, after the wonderful win at Billericay, we got a very mixed bag with three dreadful collapses and so other unimpressive outings.

When Craig left he did not leave a balanced or settled squad : so the circumstances are simply not the same. We can best support our club by getting behind the manager and the team

Mr Dynan we are right behind you. Just stop the bull and exaggeration and work hard on and off the pitch for our club, that's all we ask. Whether you are out of your depth or not more time will tell, it's your own fault you are getting grief by some of your decisions and false claims you've made but now is the time for us all to get behind you and for you to do your very best. Help yourself by learning from mistakes and have a good 2018 for all of us!
