PLEASE SEE THE POST BELOW FROM STUART (C. CASUALS).

This confirms that any replay in their cup game WILL NOT affect our game with them on Monday.

Therefore, the poster needs correction.

Can anybody confirm 100% that our game on Monday is dependent on Casuals result on Saturday?

I'd heard that it would definitely go ahead, regardless of Casuals result on Saturday, and if they do require a reply, it would be at some other time.

If we (Casuals) draw our match on Saturday, then the replay is listed for Wednesday September 5th - two weeks tomorrow. This is a ruling from the FA for this round only (in their wisdom to play FA Cup ties on a BH weekend).

Therefore, our scheduled match vs Kingstonian will take place as planned on Monday.

FA Cup games at this level are normally replayed the week following the drawn match.
When the "Big Boys" arrive we need an extra week to arrange the bigger games. You couldnt have a Liverpoil v Chelsea game arranged overnight so at that stage any replays are delayed a week.
That would suggest that a Casuals draw would be played the following week which probably mean our game would be off.
Rules of coarse change and there is talk of matches being settled over same day but at moment I fear nothing has changed.

For me It's very important to get a definitive answer on this.
I'm considering staying in London over the weekend to allow me to see the Friday and Monday games.
However, if the Monday game is off, it won't be great having travelled 260 miles to get there, spent the weekend in London, and then only see one game.

Whereas rules have definately changed in later rounds regarding replays and extra subs, nothing seems to have changed in these early stages so I am assuming a replay for Casuals would take place if there is a draw on Saturday
Regarding your situation,David,a word from maybe Tim or John Bangs could help.I dont think any word from above will come.

If Casuals draw, our game against them would be postponed to allow for their replay as that would take priority.

Thanks Ali.
I guessed it would be the case, but a couple of days ago I was speaking with somebody fairly high up in the club and that person seemed to think our Monday game with Casuals was set-in-stone.
Guess I won't travel then as 'sods law' says they will draw and I'll only get one game in!

Nooo... sods law will have their match tied at 0 - 0 until the 93rd minute so you are feeling justified with your decision when a penalty gets awarded....

Well that cleared that up then.
We usually get there but it takes time.
FA and there odd law or rule changes don't help especially if there not changes but Bank Holiday specials.
Cheers Stuart.Do you feel like changing allegience ?
