Well I'm Satisfied

Today we were treated to a classic hard as hell cup tie. Bedford brought a tough as nails packed defence that (almost) proved impossible to break down until the 92nd minute, brief K's delight before that last gasp oh so cruel equaliser, what a match!

So Tuesday night we have it all to do again, find a way to get ourselves past that defence and capitalise on our attacking strength.

A while ago I delayed making my contribution to Boost The Budget, seeing a marked sustained improvement in team performance was one of the criteria I needed to change my mind.

Whatever the result on Tuesday I'm now satisfied we are seeing a sustained improvement, I'll be making my contribution.

It was a keenly fought cup tie, entertaining to watch with a sting
in the tail.
We certainly played some excellent football, the front two work well
together always looking for each other when in possession and we
look strong all over the pitch.
Frustration crept in during the second half, resulting in passes going
short or astray, with more composure we would have wrapped up
the win.
Obviously the league is our main priority,so whatever happens on
Tuesday our next league game is of course far more important.
ONWARDS AND UPWARDS HOPEFULLY.

Yes, absolutely no complaints about the performance yesterday, despite the gutting finale.

I thought we were on top for the majority of the first half, with the new lad Doughty very lively down the left, and Louie and Eliott always dangerous in the middle. I also thought Aaron Lamont had a fine game, and we've been a much better side since he's become a regular in the centre.

The replay will be much tougher, I suspect. But that was a good display yesterday.

Excellent effort and could, with a little more luck, have been a couple up at half time. However the second half saw the game swing, marginally I thought, toward Bedford.A strong, tall and tough defence was frustating our forwards and was allowing their midfield to give us a bit more to think about.
A good hard but fair cup tie that should be nowhere near over.Great to see the extra effort now and a new confidence throughout the team.

Yes, it will be tough. Bedford are well organised, but they have lost at home this
season. Hopefully, we can pull it off Tuesday.

As someone else said to me yesterday, with our away form and Dynan's cup record, we'll probably lose on Tuesday. Good performance yesterday but a shame we weren't able to build on our recent improvements at home to seal the win.

Sorry Rex but I thought we did build on our recent performances although not securing the win against a good, hard and well organised side.
In spite of our cup form so far and of Dynan I believe we have every chance in Tuesday
