The Conference report on KGF would have required the following improvements:-
(1) Capacity increased by at least 1000 to 3000 with further proviso to 4000.
(2) More seating under cover.
(3) Additional two turnstiles.
(4) Changing rooms facilities to be upgraded.
(5) Spectator toilets upgrade.
(6) All floodlights to be working, there is one out on far side.
All work to be completed by March 31st.

That would seem fair to go up in the world.
Very frustating when clubs dont make the required effort but its not our ground and if we were to look at it where would Casuals be.
Move forward together

They did get very upset about ground improvements at the end of last season even though we paid for them. An improved stadium for both clubs can only be of benefit in attracting players and supporters. It has been suggested that an entrance be made at the Davis Road end to help supporters parking there which IMO would be a big help.

Well as we are stuck in the Bostick for another season at least the deadline not a worry. Will what's left of the generous Womble Windfall cover the required work?

Wimbledon were not being generous in giving us £700,000 if that is what you think.
The reason we got the money was because we were given security of tenure until 2023.
They wanted us out,to think they felt sorry for us is certainly not the case.

2023 doesn't seem all that far off, now. I'm writing budgets/plans at work that go up until March 2022.

It's only fair I'm consistent with correcting this, even if it's on the opposite side this time. A portion of it was compensation which was topped up with a donation/blood money/hush money/whatever you want to call it from AFCW.

Quite right Paddy,a small portion was indeed compensation, the rest a donation to be used for future ground share or permanent home. The tenancy was in exchange of council owned land,£150,000 valuation, which enabled AFCW to meet EFL requirements. I think that money could have gone to far more deserving sporting causes in the borough than Ks

Given that it was OUR land in the first place, but had just fallen through the Nick Hood - Khosla gaps, it's only fair that the council used it as leverage to gain an arrangement for us. Especially as they forgot about us during the Khosla - AFCW deal.

Better sporting use could have been made of that £150,000. Scandalous to help prop up a club who ultimately were the architects of their problems.

The council still managed to sink huge sums of money into the theatre - this is small fry in comparison..

Whether funding The Rose is too much or not enough is neither here or there in what deal should have been struck the land needed by AFCW .You might consider £150,00 small fry but a share would have been welcomed many sports clubs/ facilities. It's only my opinion but there were more deserving uses of that money.

There maybe more deserving causes, there always is,but our once land that fell into Khosla's lap was useless without planning permision which the Council would never give until AFC got there hands on it and planning was eventualy granted on agreement to pay us a "donation".
No credit to a discredited period of time

The land that AFCW built on belonged to the council. No donation was part of that agreement. A tenancy was drawn for a fixed period. In the agreement was stipulated compensation payable for early termination. The donation, which far far exceeded compensation due was a voluntary contribution from AFCW.

The question us K's supporters should be addressing is
do you prefer us being nomadic ground hoppers with
that money in the bank ,or six more seasons at KINGSMEADOW.

What ever the preference it is alas only theoretical,as agreement included clause to end tenancy early, and at a fraction of the goodwill payment Ks received.
