Hard to know what to think, without knowing the reasons why this had to be cancelled.

Maybe, in the interim, the Club could update the supporters on current thinking about our long term future plans? The manager has been dropping heavy hints recently that our future might lie somewhere other than a ground-share with Corinthian-Casuals..?

Plus spending a fair chunk of change to try (we can only assume) and get promoted for next season when King George’s Field could not host National South games in 19/20 makes me wonder if the partnership thing was not the only game in town.

Yes, it's a shame that the event has been postponed and I was hoping there would be an update on this as well. While it will be nice to meet Dean Brennan and it's encouraging that he wants to meet the fans like this and be part of the club socially, the only particular question I'd have had for him was whether we can move back to Mondays next season (as we ought to for the reasons Ali has set out below). Beyond that he has set out his vision for on-field improvement pretty clearly already in his various interviews and programme notes, so I'd imagine most people were more just hoping for a chance for a beer and a chat than really expecting to learn anything we don't already know.

Off the field though, we have once again had an enormous amount of time (a year?) drift by without any information. I appreciate that negotiations, whether over KGF or anywhere else, will take time and involve various different parties and so it's not going to be helpful for it all to be played out in public. But it must be possible to have some sort of update on where things are at the moment and what we're pursuing? It hasn't even been confirmed where we're playing next season, given the original statement only covered 2018/19, and presumably we need to let the league know by the end of March if that's the ground grading deadline. Hopefully 'no news' means we're staying at Casuals but an update would be most welcome and it's a shame there won't now be one coming tomorrow.

The annoying thing is there was ground behind Tolworth station that could easily have become our new home but is now going to be the HQ for Lidl UK.

Personally, I don't think our primary ambition should be to play in Tolworth.

Well it's better then nowhere. Only place likely is the Athletics track which is administered by a private company on behalf of RBK and not ideal as spectators would be too far away from pitch.
