Team tonight

Guessing Alfie is cup tied (Wombles played several SSC matches) similar to Saturday? Although aren't there labyrinthine rules about how long a player has been registered to be 'legal'. Are there any of Brennan's signings left anyway?

Wombles take the SSC so seriously that games are not even listed on their Development Squad fixtures & results page. There's no "Search" facility on the site. At least nor for Joe Public. Maybe there is one for logged-in members. I can find a "News" page item alerting loyal Wombles to the Banstead away game in the last 16 (£7 to get in) but the result - a 1-1 draw, lost on pens - doesn't seem to be mentioned at all, never mind the line-ups.
Banstead's site doesn't have line-ups. Their Twitter does, but only the Banstead XI. So, good luck to Phil Watling... or whoever's trying to check that one out.
Alfie Egan definitely didn't play in Wombles' opening win v. Dorking, which was their only other SSC tie ths term, and the Banstead game was only five weeks ago, so hopefully he can remember if he played or not. A secretary/manager asking the average footballer if he played in a cup tie is like Blackadder asking Baldrick how many beans two beans and two beans makes, even if the relevant game was only five weeks ago, but hopefully young Alfie will remember and there must be a teamsheet on the Surrey FA database somewhere.
At the QF stage, any player registered before noon yesterday can turn out tonight - unless he's cup-tied - but players must be registered 14 days before a SF or Final in order to be eligible.

On FWP this season Alfie has made two first team appearances on the pitch for them, one as starter one as used sub, and about eight as unused sub, he scored against Stevenage. Nothing on FWP about the Banstead match, and the Dorking match only has the Wanderers line up. So maybe we will be seeing him tonight, I certainly hope so, he was about the only one on Saturday showing the kind of determination needed......it might be catching.

Somebody told me he was cup-tied so, with the ranks being very thin at the moment, I hope we've been able to sign somebody or bodies in time for tonight.
