Wombles

Sadly, the Wombles scraped a 0-0 draw today, which saves them from the drop in Sky Bet League One on goal difference alone.

On the plus side, the real Wimbledon, Milton Keynes Dons, earned promotion today from the league below, so they get to entertain each other next season :)

I disagree most strongly with the second part of your post Rex. However since I now have no interest in what goes on in League One l don't really care where the Wombles find themselves, it has no bearing on K's.

I agree most strongly with the second part of his post.

AFCW are a breakaway club, not a phoenix club.

I disagree strongly with your strong agreement of his second part, but that has nothing to do with how I view the club set up by the majority of the Wimbledon support who as you say broke away. I have issue with the inference that thing in Milton Keynes should be regarded as one regards any other football club, even nasty ones like Boreham Wood or Whitehawk.

You can blame the FA for MK Dons.

But you can only blame AFCW for what AFCW did to Ks.

It was gross hypocrisy for AFC FC to buy the ground from Khosla, enriching him and perpetuating precisely the sort of behaviour they had told us all they could not condone. On the one hand they claim to despise asset strippers on the other hand they were the key enablers of our asset stripping.

Whatever the blood money paid or apparently payable, AFC FC were key players in the situation which resulted in us leaving our ground just as they had left theirs. Again the only word is hypocrisy. If they meant what they said, they should have moved heaven and earth to keep Kingstonian in Kingston especially after sitting in our town like footballing cuckoos and draining our support for more than a decade.

Hmm not sure if cuckoo reference works. Despite widely held belief to the contrary,in fact in areas where cuckoos are, other species of birds flourish. So if AWFC anology was correct other clubs in RBK would be in rude health.
