Just testing since there isn't any news, nothing about players, other teams that wear the Hoops, just the news on 28th April about the manager. Because the website changed in September I can't go back to this time last year to compare the news frequency for early May.

Cheers Gary

Edit: The season finished a bit later last year, in the ten days following the end there were about half a dozen news items. I say about because after a number of tries (I gave up on a phone) I was only able to reach the end of April just once, it's VERY prone to jumping back to the top. The difference in ease of navigation between our current website and Pitchero is considerable, well done Gary a HUGE improvement.

Has anyone from the Board been in touch to explain their decision or explore the issues with you?

Depends what you voted for
Remainers wanting to remain but Brexiteers all have a different view on what it means.
I voted and new what I wanted but others, mostly the older variety, voted for themselves and not the young coming along behind who didnt want their future to be poorer and more dangerous

Ah,that old chestnut. You don't know what the EU will be in the future, will it be what France wants, what Germany wants or what some of the old eastern block want? As for safe world maybe NATO had a say in that?

The reverse is also true - not knowing what will happen if/when we actually do leave.

I'm neither remain or leave. Both options are unknown & have many cited positive/negative outcomes. To be fair having said that I'm more remain with the conservatives running the shit show, as being at the mercy of their unchecked buggery at every level without anything to supersede them scares the crap out of me given the circus they've already put on since the pig interferer took power. I'd be more leave if any other party (obviously aside from the other uber right wingers) is in charge.

Fair point Paddy who knows for sure what in or out holds. After all just voting to leave was suppost to guarantee full blown economic nightmare. Well that was off the mark.

As is 99% of what's been said for or against both options. It's beware the EU Super Army this or a big red bus lied to us that. The divide & conquer strategy in full swing is ultimately what's going to mess things up anyway regardless of of how brexit goes if at all.

There's a HUGE amount that's badly wrong with the EU - before you even start to consider the "democratic deficit" - just look at the crazed stupidity of the Common Agricultural Policy, or the way that their neoliberalist dogma attempted to crush the Greek economy.

In the end though, as a Socialist, and thus an internationalist, I came down narrowly in favour of Remain. I saw no sense in wilfully making trade with the rest of the EU more difficult or expensive, and I greatly valued the freedom of travel that came with membership.

How can we find it so hard to get along with one another, yet have the most civilised of discussions about Brexit? Maybe we should fuck football off and take over parliament instead.

We could hardly do a worse job than the lot on Westminster.

And ironically, we'd probably be more successful in politics than we are at football at the moment.

This rotten Government with its all out asualt on the poor and less fortunate can only be surpassed, maybe,,by our hopeless and inefectual board.
