Clapton community fc, newly formed breakaway 'peoples' club of Clapton fc
won the Middlesex County league div.1 title yesterday, beating Fc Roast 3-0.
The game was played at their temporary home at Wadham lodge, Walthamstow
watched by a crowd of 1,266. Incredible. Looks like DHFC all over again.
Good luck to them and I hope they return to their iconic 'Old Spotted Dog' ground
some time in the future. Been there to watch K's a few times over the years.
They recently hot the headlines for their away shirts based on the Spanish Republic. They have sold around the world 11500 replica away shirts and have now closed orders. Due to demand they had to register with HM Customs for VAT.
