From a non-footballing perspective, my big concern here would be any future alignment with Walton Casuals, given the father of this candidate. A move out to that ground in Walton (which has already been on the table before) would be the death of K's, IMO. Leatherhead was far, but accessible, a nice town and obviously temporary. Walton is far enough, extremely inaccessible and a terrible place to form any sort of affection / encourage fans to come down.

Seems good pay and good budget but with our board and some fans comments we cant get whome we may want.Dreadfull situation

I don't see why somebody like Gale would be any better for us than Reid or Wilson.

Maybe Dippy has applied, he's got the experience after all (so he reckons), or possibly he's been acting as an advisor. Recently there's been some parallels with what went on over there a few years ago...

I really hope we don't go down the route of appointing from AFWC - especially someone so deeply involved with them and their short history.

We're a soverign club, just about still, and have had enough of their influence thrust upon us as it is.

Would much rather we either appoint an already established and reputable manager and/or sometime with some sort of link to our club.

Ted also has as much first-team management experience as Bassey (8 games as a caretaker aside).

Maybe it's an inevitable outcome of being cut off from the real news, we just go and make it up instead.

I'm still of the opinion that we appoint Kim for next season with Frank Wilson being groomed to take over as manager from 2020/21 if that works!

In my opinion, not that my opinion's worth much, it makes little difference whether the Club goes for an experienced manager or a promising young coach.
Far more important is that whoever is appointed is given an honest brief on the Club's situation, ideally with some relatively concrete assurances on what the budget might be and how much control he will have over areas that may (or may not) fall within the remit of a manager or coach.
The idea of appointing an HM the Q and a Prince Charles simultaneously is frightening. Does that ever work? See Henry II, King Lear, Macbeth, that bloke who succeeded Lenin, Scott Evil, Caligula, etc.
