Good that this seems like an appointment of someone we can all get behind and I do agree with you that Hayden’s statement about engagement with fans seems very positive .

Crikey!
Didn't see that coming.
While Dowse was in charge, I walked into a hostelry miles from Kingston, on a non-football day, & was 95% sure I saw Hayden Bird talking to Chris Woolston, which I thought might have been a scoop.
Can't see how anyone can complain about that appointment.
It worries me that he must have been given assurances about the Club's short-term and maybe medium-term future, when nobody outside the Boardroom seems to have faith that the Board is in a position to give assurances to anyone.
He's not stupid though.
