I Googled that. It said

"A wall is just a creature type, similar to goblins. However, prior to the release of 'defender' attribute printed on cards, it was a rule that all wall type creatures can not attack. This rule holds true today. Just because a wall does not have 'defender' written on it does not mean it can attack."

I'm still none the wiser.

I believe its attacking players no longer in the wall. But then again there is no requirement for a wall and i dont the FA even defines it. I think it only states no player must be within 10 yards etc

Surely everyone in a wall is defending?

I can only assume and hope that means no attackers interfering with a defensive wall, where they push one end over, which I for one see as a positive.

If defence is smart enough they could make more than one wall to ensure no attackers are in decent positions

I can only assume and hope that means no attackers interfering with a defensive wall, where they push one end over, which I for one see as a positive.

Well yea... That's already covered by the rules though. Ref gives a foul if it happens. This new rule is just stupid imo

Is it still the case a foul can only committed if the ball is in play?

Ref gives a foul if it happens.

But they don't always, plenty gets missed so assume it's to take that out of the equation.

That's already covered by the rules though
Just like the rules are quite clear about shirt pulling for example?

May be stupid, but if it improves things then so be it.

Players should not be restricted to a ref not being able to do the job however.

Soon no tackles incase too many times the ref can't call wether it was a fair challenge or not?

Set pieces are difficult, with so much going on then refs will miss things.
Tackles are not the case as open play and usually 50/50.

Unlikely that a ref will miss it, of course you've still got different interpretations which will result in wrong decision.
