For me the first game I watched was an English Schoolboys v Wales school boys about 1955. 5 years later back there again for the 1960 Amateur cup final. 40 years later the 2000 K's v Kettering game, what a great game, most endearing moment also the scariest moment seeing Farreley giving the impression of an outfield player. I know this hasn't anything to do with the post but I couldn't resist my posting this.

I went there in 1973 to see England Amateurs beat West Germany Amateurs 1-0.

Micky Preston was in the England team which was as follows:

J. Swannell, P. Deadman, E. Powell (capt.), M. Preston, R. Eaton, L. Pritchard, A. Bass, R. Haider, W. Smith, R. Day, J. Butterfield (K. Searle).

After that it was just the two visits of the K's.

Last: Ks v Leatherhead 2019

Greatest: S.S.C v Wombles - we were able to get onto the pitch and celebrate unlike anything we were able to do at Wembly; and we weren't expected to win! Step Forward Martyn Lee!

Happiest unexpected pleasure: thrashing Brentford at Griffin Park.

First - FA Cup Final (1989) - Liverpool v Everton

Best - possibly that or play off final Championshio 2017 (just yo see the emotion of my best mate a Huddersfield fan)

Last - last weekend - Charlton v Sunderland

I’ve been 7 times - 1 FA Cup final, 2 trophy finals and three play off finals and once to see the dog racing. Both FA Trophy matches were free too
