On the news the leader of Merton Council is pleased to welcome back the club to Plough Lane and fully supports their homecoming. Pity we don't get any help from RBK.

Kingston Council are not interested in sporting activities. Tolworth Rec is a disgrace as are most of our parks. The athletics stadium is run by a private company. Shame on you Kingston Council run by the Lib-Dems.

Dont blame Lib/Dems for everything they originally took over from the Cons and their contracts for Parks and Recreation.
Not suggesting you absolve everything from the Liberals and they probably are almost as bad as the Cons.

The Lib/Dems have controlled Kingston for years apart from a short period when Voters objected to the Council in reponse to MP Ed Davey's views.

Didn't RBK and AFCW value council owned land needed by AFCW,to upgrade ground to league status at £150000? Instead of using this large sum for wider benifit it was used to facilitate Ks to play at Kingsmeadow.

BE what aid to you think Ks are due from the council?

To be fair we are probably more of a burden on Kingston Council than anything else but aid/assistance in finding a site in the borough with which to spend the womblebucks on a new facility that could in turn enhance an area of the borough. If that's still the plan & KGF isn't for life until we run out of womblebucks.

Hair-brain maybe but nobody wants to see the Council waste money on anything even tho we may think it benefits ourselves
Many just causes out there and we may think we are one but have we a buisness plan which may lead to our Council supporting us ?

I have spoken to Ed Davey about Kingstonian and also our work with young carers.

I guess it depends how you approach them. If you’re telling me Sir Ed blocked you for simply asking a polite question I’m afraid I don’t believe you. Once having a thought, it depends how you articulate them.

I don’t know how you framed the conversation but there needs to be a positive proposition, with evidence of support in the community.

Simply approaching politicians ( of any main party) in accusatorial tones as if are woes are somehow their fault, is unlikely to be beneficial.

I think it is best to wait until we have clear finalised future plans for a ground. We can chip in to conversations to reinforce a message that will need to come from the Club it’s self.
