I'd rather be playing the Macc boys. Crewe's youth team look good!
However, this just isn't right. We are potentially favourites under this scenario.
As others have also said, let's hope Hayden has kept the boys focused and lets
get through to the 2nd rnd.

We play a possession game I'm a little concerned about injury happening to their players due to adult level legal tackles.

This makes us strong favourites. Macclesfield do not have a Category 1,2, or 3 academy meaning their youth team will be of limited quality and players in it would have more realistic exit route playing at K's level or more often below once they become senior players. Some academy set ups including Reading have shadow academies that play at this level or better and very few of these players end up turning pro, and if they do it tends to be in the lower reaches of Scottish second tier or in countries like Iceland.

Good luck tomorrow, a lot of our fans are hoping for a Kingstonian win to ensure our owner doesn't pocket more cash.

Odds have significantly changed as we've all been piling money on the away win. Somebody has even got £20 on K's to score 5+ goals at 150/1.

The young lads you're up against tomorrow shouldn't give you too much a game. They're not a Cat 1/2/3 academy as someone has pointed out and probably an average age of 16/17.

I won't be there out of purpose and our fanbase is split over whether or not to attend. Enjoy the day if it goes ahead, currently a number of our matchday staff including groundsmen are on strike so there's still the slight possibility that it could be called off. Hopefully not for your sake.

Thanks for the good wishes, it's ironic our clubs are paired at this difficult time for you guys, 18 years ago we were just starting the journey that eventually led to us now playing at Corinthian Casuals. I've seen some on your forum would welcome the club going into administration, be careful what you wish for. Our administrator separated the club from the ground (in our best interests) so that it could be asset stripped away from the club permanently.

Confession time, I 'supported' you guys for over half an hour in the late 60's when you were at Fulham in the cup, Chelsea (in those days a real football club) played Ipswich kick off an hour earlier, so at the end of the game a load of Shedites hot footed down to Fulham to cheer on Maccy.

Whatever the result tomorrow all the best for the future.

Hmmm..

Macc forum suggests there could be 4 or 5 full season loanees in their team and the namechecks show them to have mostly been playing in the first team including the keeper. Whether they join the strike remains to be seen.

Yes I saw that, doesn't the loanee club pay the wages while they have the player? If so then they won't have been paid either.

Right off to bed now early start.
