The best for Ages?
Several fans have commented that the win over Woking was the best Kingstonian performance for years.
I can’t claim to have seen every match in the intervening time ..... but this was the best Ks performance I remember seeing since the days of Geoff Chapple’s Conference team. In his his post match interview Dowse said we bested his team in every Department
What do others think?

I agree with the earlier poster on another thread who rated it our best performance since the FACup win at Brentford (Sumo Sammy Winston’s finest hour).

I’d have said since Bristol City but as Krinkly says it is extraordinary that we are having this conversation about a team from Step 3

it was brilliant. particularly the way we mixed the challenge of defending against such a physically imposing team with playing the attractive football once we won the ball. but it's all margins, isn't it? Woking had their spell in the early phase of the second half and could've gone 2-1 or 3-1 and then we'd have been beaten. Just shows that Fylde could've been beaten had it not been for those two unfortunate goals. such is football. though fylde were a lot better than Woking defensively, it must be said.
good turnout behind the goal. i know people lament crowds and not getting 1000 and all that but 400-odd K's at KGF is plenty and more than enough for fun and noise.
i'm a big fan of the new flags on the dugout side.

Discussed in The Royal Enclosure.....

.....who were in fine voice incidentally, there's a Big difference between that K's wonder team under BFG and now. Back then that team SHOULD have been successful considering how much they cost, Hayden's got this WONDER TEAM together on a modest budget. Hayden Bird REALLY IS magic.

Was great to see Hayden and the players go over and applaud the royal enclosure at the end.

We were making enough noise to get their attention!

When Hayden Bird said he wanted to win silverware this season, I didn't realise he meant the Trophy! It was that good a performance!
A shame we didn't give Dowse the love he deserved, although I loved the new songs "All you need is Bird" and "Our Bird is a football genius"!

That final 35 minutes had WOKING on the ropes, they continuously
committed fouls to break up our momentum,DAN HECTOR ran the
right back ragged,i'm surprised he didn't end up in A&E with a twisted
gut.It was a heroic performance from all,but i must place above them
all the performance of DAN BENNETT,his vision and movement on a heavy
pitch was a sight to behold, what a difference he is from the player who
in his previous spell ended up looking disinterested and underperforming.
We have now played two NL teams and i have to say they did not impress,
would you not agree we see more creative players in our league than we have
from two teams in step 1.
The draw gives us a fantastic opportunity to progress into the 3rd round
but we have two league matches coming up and to win them both will set
us up nicely for the road ahead.
