I really hope for all concerned there isn’t more to this then meets the eye. If he’s as good as his word, fair play to him, although surely he could have played on Saturday?

Family/business concerns are taking centre stage in his life, it's understandable, I wish him all the best.

Bamba did not make the squad for Westfield on Saturday, I wonder if there could there be an about turn?

Respective quality of players aside, do you really think a winger like Bamba could replace a centre forward like Theophanous?

At our level players like Louie are pretty rare these days, traditional centre forwards seem to be a dying breed. We've seen plenty of examples of K's wingers winning the game this season.

Yeah, wingers winning from those positions. Our formation includes a striker / centre forward. Pretty much everybody has at least one of those in their team, apart from Barcelona. Or are they an obscure club?

He's become such as excellent talisman for us, it's going to be a job replacing him.

The worst bit is the shock timing, just before the Trophy game. Whilst we have other strikers, none of them seem to have his all round game and deadly firepower.

One man doesn't make a team. A great pity to lose K's most gifted player. Good luck Louie.

This is a real shock and comes at the worst possible time.
Forgive the cynic in me, but couldn't he have played just
the one more game before bowing out?. This Saturday will
be one of the most important games of the season for the
club. Why would you want your contract wiped out so quickly
and prior to such an important game?. Don't get me wrong, Louie
is a class act and if you have watched him closely all season you will
see his work rate and sheer guile as a centre forward is understated,
let alone his goal return. Louie's body language always suggested he
was playing at a level below his expectations. I wish him, his family
and his business well. I just hope he doesn't turn up at a club two or
three levels higher anytime soon. I'm a little suspicious of the timing.

We'd look quite stupid if he did rock up at a rich club like that on a free transfer, wouldn't we.

Yeah but it's all speculation based on nothing, just like that now deleted thread about a team who represent Epsom I'm not giving this any credence unless proven otherwise. You can refer me back to this post if Louie turns up elsewhere before Easter.

Absolutely gutted and I know life balance etc is key but could he not have waited a week? I smell the lure of the tamplin dollar , I hope I'm wrong. He was a lion up front right up there with Frankie Vines for me as one of my favourite Ks CFs.

It’s a real shame and horrible timing. Rather than a Francis Vines, this reminds me more of when Bobby Traynor bade us farewell, never to return at a higher level.

Good luck Louie and thanks for the - all too brief - memories
