To be fair to the bloke, I’m sure these “personal reasons” for Theo’s surprise signing to the Romford Circus has got something to do with him wanting to be involved in a set up which has just employed a celebrity midget.

I’m sure it’s nothing to do with the ca$h, oh no, because that would be just underhand.

Mugged off again, it seems. Have to say this was pretty obvious. Hope there was compensation involved in the “contract cancellation”, otherwise we really haven’t learned our lessons.

"He was adamant that he feels it necessary to simply to take a break from football to concentrate on his family"

I suppose joining the circus is taking a break from football.

Why can't people just be honest, they would surely gain more respect for it. A simple "It's been fun, but I'm going to go get a bit of wedge from Mr Tamplin now, be back when the Romford wheels fall off xxx" would have sat better with me.

Exactly. I'm fed up of the "taking a break for family/work" reasons line. I can't really think of a time when it actually has been the case.

Just give us the respect of an honest reason/answer and we can then at least bid a respectful farewell. Whilst we might not like or agree with the real reason, if Tamplin has come in with a huge sack of money then at least we could understand it.

Speaking of sacks of money - which is common knowledge that Tamplin has - then how on earth have we managed to release a valuable contacted player for no transfer fee.

There's no loyalty in football at ANY level.
Victims once again.

But it works both ways. We did take about 2/3 of Mersthams’s team from last season along with their manager.

Slight difference between lying to get out of a contract and that, no?

Merstham was also post season so time to get replacements, this is six days before a massive FA Trophy game.

I agree it’s not the same thing and what has happened has been a disgrace . But simultaneously most of last season’s Merstham team felt Ks were a better bet of which we have been beneficiaries so I don’t think any team can take an absolute stance on ‘loyalty’.

We were discussing in another place earlier today that Tolfs has shown incredible loyalty to Ks (and indeed how rare that is nowadays)

Louie has consigned himself,at the age of 28, to Isthmian league football. It will take till 2021 ,at the earliest to get promoted. I doubt if any club upto conference south will be able to compete financially with Romford. When Glen Tamplin took over Romford I believe he signed 14 players in the first week and resukts didn’t improve. Since that first week he has signed a few more. His dream at Billericay lasted a couple of years so it will be interesting whether the enterprise at Romford will follow a similar pattern.
When Louie looks back in years to come on his football exploits I imagine his time at K’s will outshine any other. I believe Hayden is building something special with a good collective spirit within the team and club. Thats something money can’t buy but we will get good players buying into it.
