Is it not time to do away with Cup replays. One game, extra-time then penalties.

For a competition at this level, in a word No.

When listening to the draw I think they said there will be no replays in 3rd round. In the FA Cup replays 3rd round onward the FA collect 5 percent of the net profits of the matches. This is then shared between the 32 non league clubs that played in the first round. So replays at Man U and Newcastle maybe lucrative to the non league clubs.

I'm struggling to understand the logic of not replaying later rounds in the Trophy, or do the ex EFL clubs prima Donna the thinking because getting promoted back to the EFL is so much more important?

Think we may find the next round is a fight to the finish on the night.
Looking at our game on a Tuesday evening does mean difficulties for many but could have been worse,a lot worse.Bath may not be the worst either but others I really wouldnt fancy on a midweek evening.
Personally as it goes,my fancy was an away trip to Wroxham but if that is a place of a boating interest then if we are fortunate enough a trip to Bath would be a delight

TBF, I'd sooner watch a game in Bath than Essex if I lived in Essex.

No contest the joys of Canvey Island have it.
Despite the lazy cliche alot of Essex pastoral pleasure on the eye. Some lovely coast as well.

Canvey would be my preference too. Can be done on a travelcard (to Benfleet, at least). Also having lived out west (more west than Bath tbf) I like to avoid the region where possible.

Complete opposite for me, I've done the Dartford crossing well over a hundred times, probably hundreds, and have no desire to do it again. Bath is nice old fashioned ground with proper old fashioned terracing.

It's definitely Bath for me. Plenty of decent pubs/ real ale, lovely countryside, wonderful architecture and most of all................................ it's NOT in Essex 😁
The only good thing connected with Canvey Island is Dr Feelgood. One of the best R'n'B/R'n'R bands ever.
COME ON YOU Ks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bleak beauty or the marshes south of Benfleet, the view over Hadleigh Ray,Ove Arup's Lab worth Restaurant. All that and relaxing by the petrol chemical plants. Now thats spot on.

Ah Wales had dozens of fine holidays there from Pendine to Porthmadoc and all places between. Never come across the oft repeated claim 'they hate the English'. Have I been lucky or is another myth like the Essex stereotype?

I've lived in South Wales for five years and experienced VERY little anti-English sentiment (apart from sporting banter on match days, obvs!) Hardly surprising, given how many English people (and people from other nations) live here. It's important to stress South Wales tho, as I know feelings run deeper and stronger in the Valleys and the more rural areas of North and Mid Wales.
I sense a growing support for greater political independence from Westminster. Perhaps not outright independence, as seen in Scotland, but certainly greater devolution and autonomy.
And, if you weren't aware of it before, nothing explains modern anti-English sentiment as the disaster that befell the village of Capel Celyn in North Wales. I hadn't heard of it before moving here - take two minutes to read up on it.

Living in SW Somerset . . . Bath is a real pain to get to (still a lot easier than Essex though)

Among all the comments on Essex and in spite of some of the chavs or maybe many of the chavs,Essex has its wonderfull villages and countryside and even some great coast side locations.
This is all in response to the wizzard claiming he would rather play Bath than Wroxham.
Bath of coarse is a spa town of history and much splendour while Wroxham is in rural Norfolk famous for its boating and the most popular place for starting your Broads holiday
