3 3 draw

By Taimour (WeHateWombles)18/1 20:26Sat Jan 18 20:26:29 2020

We were brilliant today, so good going forward. The goal that made it 3 2 was all intricate one-touch passing and Hector finished across the keeper.

Thurrock scored THREE freak goals. An own goal, a cross that went in and a deflection. They otherwise booted it long and timewasted, including one impressive period when their defender pretended he didnt know how to tie up the goalkeeper's laces.

Dsane looked fantastic: movement and pace which allowed Bennett and Lamont and Kav to wreak havoc. Clohessy also excellent.

Strangely low away turnout...

I guess the low turnout because it’s a less attractive fixture. Though they were more yesterday then Brighlingsea Away.

AND can the 2nd goal please be corrected to Sean Clohessy goal

Maybe the turnout to do with a mini bus from Kingsmeadow and not a coach from Kingston -Tolworth-Chessington.
Forgetting the latest travel debacle,is anything sensible going to the seaside on the 1st leaving at a decent time on a decent coach.
The way to Bognor would take us from Kingston-Tolworth -Chessington and on.
I am not knocking those trying their best but wanting to be more positive for a top game in a top place for more fans

Forgetting the latest travel debacle

Debacle definition - A sudden and ignominious failure, a fiasco.

Possibly something like the South African cricket team are feeling right now perhaps, but the SC travel to Leamington?

53 seater comfortable coach - check

Arrived in plenty of time for pre match whatevers - check

Didn't leave anybody behind - check

Arrived back in Kingston at a reasonable time - check

Am I missing something?

"latest travel debacle"...?
What debacle. Nobody has advised the supporters club committee of any issues, please let me know. I gather there was a minor change of route for the big coach to Leamington, but nothing I know that could possibly be called a debacle.

Nice coach. Arrived in good time for the game and made good time getting back to Tolworth and Kingston. Sadly not many seats taken so hope Supporters Club didn't make a loss. Always a risk on a mid week game so see the sense in only a minibus to Woking which is easily accessible by public transport.

Get upset over football - nah it is too trivial for that. Depending on the tide I'll be walking along beach from home to the game. Good old Sussex by the sea.

perhaps Hector's clipped finish crossed the line before Clohessy made contact (and therefore the goal was not offside).

Agree with this. Think on most other days we would have won quite comfortably, ETU were ludicrously fortunate.

Dsane's movement was really good - think the goals will start to flow for him soon. Benno and Hector top drawer, Lamont had some good flashes too. All seemed to link up quite well - some really nice little bits of interplay in the second half.

I know people who didn't make it will look at the score and think we made mistakes or sat too deep once we went ahead, but I don't really think either of those things were true.

You could tell the players were gutted at the end - they should be with the result but not with their performances IMO.

Ozzy Osbourne. First goal. Diverted ball into net while trying to hook ball clear. Fwp incorrect.

Clohessy got man of the match in the NLP.

Thanks Taimour for that, I had their manager and a linesman slightly obscuring my view. Just goes to show how people can view the same incident from different angles and get a different outcome!
