Positive and negative support

Yesterday we saw some excellent positive support from behind the goal and some exasperating moaning from one section of the stand. One of the Brightlingsea officials commented mid way through the first half “listen to that lot moaning. You’d think they were losing - not winning 1-0!”

Supporters shouting out complaints rarely motivates players. Doing this when the team are winning is frankly ridiculous!

Agree. It was the same on the terrace near the dug outs too.

Of course people pay and are entitled to have their opinion, but it was very weird to hear people complaining about us knocking it around the back.

One such occasion led to K’s playing beyond their press and creating a really good opportunity. It’s the way Hayden wants K’s playing and even a performance like yesterday which didn’t really get out of second gear, was still enjoyable to watch.

Unfortunately, you will have some people moan even if it’s a 5-0 win every week, that’s just their nature.

Leamington replay first half, those of us in the smallish side seating were treated to a couple of perfect demonstrations of Haydens tactics at the back. Leamington attack broken down, ball passed around our defence until it found its way to the wing with space in front of our player who was off into their half like a hare. When it works the way it should those tactics are a joy to watch from the side.

Fans have moaned a lot about big hoofing clearances for years, now some moan about a display of passing skill designed to frustrate the opposition - SIGH!!

By contrast I particularly liked the way the fans behind the goal got behind the excellent hard working Eddie Dsane...... and ..... lo aand behold shortly afterwards he scored.

Reminds me of olde days at Stamford Bridge and indeed Richmond Road.
These days its only small sections but its still anoying and negative and must frustate the management. This is a good forum for moaning and speculating and getting rid of frustations but please keep it off the terraces.

The most overworked player in the first half was ROB TOLFREY,
lost count of the number of back passes he had to deal with.
we were slightly off our game at times, something that we cannot
afford to do in the coming weeks, yes i was having a moan, but that
shows how far we have come since HAYDEN took charge, after scoring
very early the game should have been out of the reach of our visitors
but that scenario did not materialise and until we went 2 up the prospect
of them equalising was a real possibility.
Once again we conceded late on,this is a habit that must be stamped out,
when that TAO announcement is broadcast we become edgy all over the
pitch,HAYDEN made the point that with the experience we have on the
pitch that should not happen, they obviously have not been listening.

I can understand people not happy with performance and yes at times we get to the opposing penalty area and have not got anybody who can shoot on target! We need a STRIKER.
