I’m sure we would all like to see a women’s team reestablished. The problem is that both of the members of the sections management team have moved on and all our players found other clubs. We would need new volunteers including a manager and secretary willing to undertake a substantial amount of work including raising funds to support this.

Some immediate and more readily achievable priorities including supporting the establishment of a Kingstonian Mind United women’s team next season in partnership with Mind in Kingston. This is being supported by our “Grow the Game” grant from the Football Foundation. We are involving more girls in football activities for young carers and looking to recruit more women as volunteers.

Having Margaret as our women’s officer will help us achieve these objectives and build on this work. If anyone has suggestions and are willing to help it would be good if they can let Margaret know.
