For those of you who don’t do Twitter, it was great to see Mind in Kingston Tweet earlier today:

“We have a great partnership with @KingstonianSC @KingstonianFC (long may it continue) who support the running of our fantastic Kingstonian Mind United FC and we greatly appreciate the work they're doing to support the #mentalhealth  of this community”

It may be some while before they are able to start training but plans are already being made to recruit more women players for Kingstonian Mind United .

Our Women’s s Officer Margaret Mccormack has been in touch to offer our active support for when they are ready to start their recruitment drive. The Club will be able to help meet costs associated with this thanks to grant funding being received from the Football Foundation.

Starting this Monday, the Kingstonian Mind United players are going to have weekly on line training sessions with their coach using Zoom. This will be really important in helping them stay fit and feeling engaged with their teams.

Thanks Ian

As well as these being good things to do in their own right, they help build the Club’s links with the local community.

Stay safe and look after yourself
