Thank you REX and others for your kind comments.If any of you have got the VIDEO or dvd WHEN I WON THE FACUP or somthing like that made in 90s when Geoff was manager,Jack is on there .The prog started with Ks

Great stuff Tim. It was a pleasure and a privilege to know Jack Goodchild he taught me a lot. I love the Wycombe Wanders slope anecdote . Yes Jack you can still make me laugh.

When his wife passed I used to pop into his place and he used to insist on giving me a lift from Hawks rd to the new place- which was fine going but the lift back to the Fairfield could be interesting...esp after a big cup win.

The sessions when he handed over the songs from the old days (weaving, Still got Johhny Whing, all my life etc) were a great handing over the baton when we starting getting a mob behind the goal and in the bar after. Social media will never replace good old word of mouth and linear inheritance of folk songs and lore.

As Peter West repeated at his funeral "c'mon U Ks" "c'mon lads"
