VJ day
Views: 4114
The government has cancelled all VJ day events. Personally I find this most upsetting especially as the lock down is easing. A service at Lichfield Cathedral has had to be cancelled 700 hundred people were to attend likewise St Martins in the Fields were to host a service of remembrance.. Nothing makes sense any more.
I apologise for this post but this Forum is the only place that I can air my views.

No need for any Kind of apology in my view.
My late, great old neighbour Fred was in the 'Chindits' and I
tend to think about him around VJ Day.

Thanks I appreciate it. Ord Wingate did a great job stopping the enemy from invading India. Your great old neighbour can be proud of his achievement .

It's around this time , certainly VE Day, that I think of my uncle Roy. He was one of the first soldiers who liberated Belsun concentration camp. 'Nuff said.
Keith.
Why worry, be happy.
