I was 13 when I first saw The K's and Reg became a firm favourite. He took no prisoners when tackling and was almost impossible to get past him. Not the quickest player but as solid as they came in those days. I will always remember his grin as he "took out" several Leytonstone players just after they had won the Amateur cup.
My condolences to his family.
