So if we dont start till mid October, no playoffs, top 2 up automatically....

More worryingly, the 19th September planned start would need to be approved by the government by this Friday. Which seems unlikely.

These seem like sensible options and scenario 5 sounds potentially quite fun, especially assuming it would be split geographically and our games would mainly be either local derbies or nice trips to Sussex.

What I don't understand though is why the season has to be finished by 15 May. Even in normal times, the pro game is playing to the end of May and that's despite many of the players having summer tournaments to prepare for. There's nothing wrong with playing football in May and I'd have thought in the circumstances they could have allowed the season to go a bit longer.

Perhaps a longer season would require rebudgeting for players being on the wage bill for May, when usually things are wrapped up by end of April. Hence the need to keep the timetable tight.

Yes there is that as well and it has caused confusion this season as to who was still under contract and who wasnt and players who were moving on but couldnt physically but didnt want to extend a contract because they were moving.Others moved but couldnt play for their old lub or new one.
Again times we have never had to deal with before and hope we never have to again but for the moment lets learn from any mistakes we may have made

Think the cup final is always the end of season followed by Champions League and Euro final.
Cup final is mid May I believe so everything would have to be wrapped up by then.
Obviously one prepares for life as it is but in these difficult times anything may happen and who knows where we go then.
To start with when can we start and when can we have fans back.Fans will certainly come with social distancing so lets figure out the best way to do it
