"Farewell Kingsmeadow"

This is a truly remarkable piece of Womble propaganda. The first 5 minutes provide an account of AFC Wimbledon "making Kingsmeadow their home". Ivor Heller recounts his first conversations with Anup and Rajesh Khosla. "They were very open to the idea", Ivor recalls. Fancy that!

Erik Samuelson then says that "we got this place in 2002 [to rent] and within two or three weeks I realised we needed to buy it. Clubs that don't own their own ground don't survive". Thank you, Erik.

He talks about how they funded the deal but does not mention the finance arranagement with Khosla.

There is a gentle guitar soundtrack, sentimental strings, an uplifting nostalgia, magical memories...

within a very small amount of time of being here it became obvious to me we needed to buy this place. Clubs without their own stadium by and large struggle and many don't survive

Erik Samuelson, former Chief Exec

So saving Kingstonian was achieved through a process of putting the club into a struggle where they were unlikely to survive?

Saving Kingstonian only happened when Jimmy Cochrane got the club out of Kholsa's hands. Everything the Wombles did to save us (ie buy an asset stripper's last asset to strip) had the opposite effect.

Oh dont you ever say anything bad about Saint Womble! We're just a bunch of ungrateful oiks who clearly deserved to be on the receiving end of hypocrisy.

May the Womble internet police & their hooped turncoat sympathizers urinate on your cornflakes forevermore.

Think nature tells us that squirels are not friendly in fact they are also lazy, never building their own nest but to throw out the owner from the home.
They are a troubled species that end up with no friends and no longstanding permanent home
