Rob Tolfrey

With no football to follow, I was having a trawl through some of Kingstonian's historical information. The record appearances for K's is currently Micky Preston with 555 appearances. By my reckoning, Rob Tolfrey has now made 551 appearances (549 starts + 2 substitutions) so should pass the record soon after football resumes in December. However, with the cancellation of last season, do his 47 appearances in 2019/20 get discounted as well, in which case we will have to wait virtually a full season for Rob to achieve the record.
My own view is that as the matches did take place, then they should be counted and thus there should be a big celebration of Rob's achievements for Kingstonian somewhere around Christmas time.

Strange really.
Season didnt happen according to the record but players must have played for yellow and red cards to have counted.
Got a feeling Rob's games wont count but hope I am wrong

Appearances have to count IMHO. Same with goals of course. The matches were played and still meant as much as a regular league game at the time - if the campaign wasn't completed, I don't think that should make any difference.

My understanding from club archivists/historians is that last season's league matches will count in our record books at least.

Think that's a good/right move That's gonna make future statistical work a nightmare though - you can usually just like back on the results but these won't be there!
