Well I understand the frustration BUT it’s the right decision.

Kent are in tier 3 and as we still have trips to Margate and Folkestone, both games would be behind closed doors. They would be playing home games behind closed doors, all they’ll gain by playing behind closed doors would be Potential points. Margate have withdrawn from the FA Trophy.

Yes it’s looking likely the season won’t get finished, realistically with the tier reviews the very very rarely demoted a area a tier down. Plus there is a chance London could be placed in Tier 3 (Evening Standard were reporting it)

I’ll expect this to be disliked a lot but think about all the clubs not just us. I really hope we voted in favor of the extended pause. But I fear we voted to continue to play.

Stay Safe
Stay Alert

And see you at Metropolitan Police

Not sure be seing anyone at Met Police.
A trip to a place I always dislike and now a pointless game.
Think Ollie you seem to be expecting the worse and thinking London may go into tier 3.
Dont get to dissapointed just yet as things looking a little better although with Johnson letting everybody move about and stay with each other over Christmas it will probably get worse again in January.

Ridiculous.

Ridiculous that crowds are allowed in tier 3 areas for grassroots games but not non league.

Ridiculous that they're delaying till January when things will likely be "worse".

Ridiculous that in tier 3 areas you can to to non essential shops and the gym but you can't stand outside and watch football.

Ridiculous that the trident leagues think that by suspending they'll wangle grants from the government.

Ridiculous that the govt is paying so that the vanarama south can continue.

Ridiculous that the conditions for restarting which the league has set out will mean we won't restart at all.

See you in August.

There's not much about this whole thing that hasn't been ridiculous to be honest.

Very well summed up. I’ve read this statement several times and I still don’t understand any rationale behind it.

Think it will be difficult to find any logic in most of bumbling Boris's rules.
I can visit a pub to sit down and eat a pizza and have a pint but cant do it without the pizza.
Chelsea/Leeds this weekend but dirty Leeds not allowed in because they are Tier 3.
You can travel from tier 2 to tier 3 ares if you are working which I guess footballers are but not in lower league games although the players are paid and I guess they must be workinf

Ian,if you're thinking of Littlehampton's game today it is only pre booked tickets I'm afraid. But Southern Combination games well worth a look till Trident resumes. Wick or East Preston are near Rustington if either are at home today.

Steyning community fc host old foes Walton & Hersham
In the FA vase at 3pm today. Both clubs are encouraging
supporters to attend if they can?
Good luck to both clubs this afternoon.

W&H certainly slipped down a bit. If you need a football fix till Trident resumes County Leagues aren' t so bad.

My mates a W&H fan and he has fond memories
of their heyday in the early seventies, whereas my
experience of watching my beloved Ks around the
same time includes a few defeats against them!
Most people know W&H groundshare with Walton Cas
at Weir rd and they have indeed slipped right down
to div 1 in the CCL. They have a good set up and are
flying at the moment. We could be facing them again
in a few years if they keep the momentum going.

me. Think interest might be 300+.

Edit: Just got mine very easy to purchase, they've improved it since the FA Cup match, see you there hopefully.

Yep, just got two for me and my W&H mate.
My first love (Ks) are playing behind closed doors,
so I don't feel quite so guilty now.
Cycled to the Spectrum via the Thames path and Wey
Navigation when Ks played there in the FA cup a few
years back. Canned beer sold from a Portakabin in
Aug or Sept as I remember. Spent a pleasant afternoon
sitting on the grass bank watching the Ks win.
No chance of that on the 19th!

They'll probably be serving the beer from a table at the door to the porta cabin, that's what they did at the last match I saw back in September.

Is there a tenuous link between the rise of a team with Wimbledon in their name and W&H and years later Ks?

Alan Batsford I think and he took Dave Basset,
twin strikers, Connell, Somers and others to Wimbledon
with him as well. Thus starting the 'rise and fall' as we know
it.
