From an AFC Wimbledon fan on 7 January 2021:

"Speaking of which, only briefly glanced at the sign while driving along the A3 south at Tolworth yesterday, but it seems that the AA sign for Corinthian Casuals and Kingstonian has our former tenant's name taped out..."

If it has been taped the most likely explanation is that it’s a joke/ provocation/ lockdown boredom high jinks etc. The chances of any sort of reasonable season conclusion is practically zero. Therefore there is no consideration of Kingstonian playing in the National South next season, assuming that starts in August. So there is no reason to move. I vaguely remember Mark Anderson saying that a decision may have to have been taken about moving should Ks have a shot at promotion this season during the end of season presentation q&a but the suspension of football has superseded this.

Without starting the old debate about where CCFC’s money goes, it also remains a fact that they will have lost a huge amount of money over the last year as has every other club and it would be overwhelming in their interests for Ks to remain as tenants. It is also in Ks interest as it’s the only feasible way currently of continuing to play in the RBK whilst looking to develop a ground. As far as is known the rolling contract with CCFC is still active.

Surely as you say,any existing contracts will stay in place for next season whenever it may come for the benefit of both.
Just hope we can get this season sorted out whatever that means and look forward to August

Did it get taped over the same time that our sign disappeared?

Yes I saw that one a couple of weeks ago, is there anybody on here who can confirm the status of the sign at the moment?

Club patron John Edward’s ask me if I could post this for him.

... “ that the sign had our name crossed off some time ago. The place is now called the United Business Group stadium. I suspect that that they have a fair bit of sponsorship so I do not feel sorry for them.

I walk my poodles at King Georges 3 or 4 times a week It is only since the lockdown that the stadium has been totally quiet.

King George’s itself is virtually a paddy field even on stadium side and I do be wonder how many games would have gone ahead anyway.

Wore my Ks shirt for my jab

COYK and NHS
John Edwards “

John Edward’s emailed me to say:

Poodles not allowed in garden centres anymore let alone gp surgeries. Despite the fact that they often behave better than humans!
