We were the 'stand out' better footballing side yesterday,
but made hard work of it for much of the game.
Hayden was right, Royston were a physical side, a liitle too
much at times. They put pressure on us in the 2nd half and
a draw at 90mins was just about the right result.
Thanks to our record breaking 'I bet you wish your keeper was
Rob Tolfrey', we thoroughly deserved to win the penalty
shoot out. Royston is a nice little town, decent clean, tidy,
well run football club. Another decent ride out on Mr Anderson's
luxury coach. A potentially difficult journey traffic wise, but our
driver got us there in plenty of time and a few more supporters
took up the option this time. Here's to a similar decent 'away day' draw on monday. Up the Ks!

Trying to follow a penalty shootout on twitter is stressful! Great win though.

Selfishly hoping for an away draw in the midlands, although most of the local teams had a mare today and I'm not even sure if whichever region Ks are in spreads this far yet. If it does, I haven't been to Gloucesters rebuilt ground yet, and watching a game on half a cricket pitch (Stourbridge) is a quirky and memorable experience.

Eleven Goals

Gus Sow became our joint top scorer with eleven when he converted a 23rd minute penalty at Royston. This was no less than his ninth penalty scored! Gus also scored in the penalty shootout. Daniel Ajakaiye also has 11 goals

Elliot Buchanan has also scored eleven times - five while on loan at Farnborough and six for the Ks. Elliot also scored the winning penalty in yesterday’s shootout

Eleven goals seems a decent tally when we are only a third of the way through our league fixtures

When I saw 1-1 final score at 4.45pm yesterday , I thought replay, didn't realise it went to penalties until just now. Well done K's a nice Sunday surprise. Hope you get a good draw for the next round.
