Too many fixtures they say we back in 1920 s -NO i wasnt around then ks played friendlies on Xmas and Box days
BUT played league ATHENIAN lg matches on those days in 1923/4 v REDHILL
1924/5 v Summerstown which i think is tooting way i m sure someone will correct me eh Peter B

One friendly i did notice was on 25th Dec 1900 HOME v CLAPTON cricky thats a trip now how did they travel then

Summers town is between Tooting Broadway and Earlsfield with the main road being Garrett Lane. In the archives the Summerstown programme shows lots of ads for businesses in Garrett Lane.

Summerstown folded in 1928 and Wealdstone purchased Summerstown stand for their Lower Mead ground.

I believe Summerstown were playing in the Sunday Sportsman League in the sixties, seem to remember them.
