Anyone else feel like they attended a different game? Thought Bishop's Stortford were well worth their win. Possession stats don't help either. Doesn't hurt teams where we have it a majority of the time.

I think he just appears slightly more deranged each time he writes one of these self-interview pieces. At least when he used to speak to Jamie you knew he was speaking off the cuff; now he's giving us his genuinely considered views.

71% possession is nothing to boast about when that generated 0 shots.

Possession obsession, trying to gloss over the 0 shots. Yes, Daniel missed a great chance in the second half when he seemed to tread on the ball, but that's about all I can remember. The video highlights from the opposition clearly show what happened in a little over 3 minutes worth of highlights.

Does anybody know who conducted this interview? Would have been better to have some more in depth questions.

He writes them himself! Once you realise that, they really do take on a whole different meaning.

Personally if an employee of mine was filing stuff like this, I’d wonder if it was better off for everyone if they had a little break.

Hayden is clearly a lovely fella and capable of being a super manager, but the pressure he’s putting himself under is leading to muddled decision making at the moment, and in turn that puts him under more pressure.

I’d love him to come back refreshed in August.

The sad thing is that Hayden is very capable. It takes time for any manager to get where they want to be. It is very noticeable that the board recognised this by giving him an extension to his contract, I hope he will reach his goal and get K's out of this league into the Conference South.

can't call it an interview if he's writing it.
call it a statement with headers

this is daft

are we now admitting we’re not where we need to be when we need to be there?

from the interview, if we don’t finish top 8 (ie. 8th) nor win the Surrey Cup is that a bad season?

I would argue, given the slow-motion stadium calamity, that we don't need to be Step 2 and we are therefore where we currently need to be when we need to be there (midtable Ryman).

Yes & no
We did have a trophy run as well, if it wasn’t for the freak goals Aldershot scored we’d of won. Was still wasteful in the final 3rd, one of the themes of the season. All 4 (5 pending cup result) remaining are tough

Guess its a season where we have remained static with little progress in an awfull place which has now rubbed off on the support.
We are on the move for next season and although its out the borough its not a bad journey in a facility that looks promising for the complete match day experience and iff Hayden can up his game and that of the team I am sure it can all come to where we want it to be.Maybe even dust out the trophy cabinet.
