The Supporters Club kit sponsorship scheme for the coming season is now open . It’s a great way of supporting the club and letting the players know we are behind them.

If the blue trim was yellow that away shirt would be pretty solid. The sponsor logo is a bit low down as well, the height works (ish) on the home shirt because of the hoops but on the away shirt it looks quite misplaced. At least an attempt was made.

Anyone who's seen the shirts up close & personal... is the badge stuck on or actually part of the shirt print like the Macron shirts were?

New kits

Firstly, I'm delighted for anything that isn't a yellow and blue shirt. So that's a big plus when it comes to the away kit. A lot of clubs are quite experimental with their away kits and colours and I wouldn't be unhappy to see us go down this path in future.

For the home kit, usually I'm usually a big advocate of it needing to start with red at the top but it works quite nicely actually. The collar looks really good and the sleeves work better than I thought they would.

I think the sponsor needs to be up a hoop on the home kit too. That would feel like a more natural position on both shirts and would be a lot clearer for people to see if it was on a white background. Might have even be able to have it a touch bigger so the Nutricor was on the white and Argnomics on the red.

From what I heard, and can see from the pictures, everything is printed directly into the shirt. It's the same payoff that we had with those older edition Macron kits (and one other set too) where the badge in particular doesn't look quite so nice but there are however practical benefits instead. Not least that the sponsor won't start falling off, letter by letter. For me, my ideal would be the traditional sewn badge combined with all sponsors being printed into the shirt for best of both worlds.

Hopefully we'll have the kits in stock soon as I'm looking forward to getting my hands on both. At which point I can then also give a better critique!

Final point - I think the goalkeeper shirt looks lovely.

Yeah I miss the embroidered badges of the older days... I can appreciate why it isn't like that though because it probably costs a bit more. If badge/sponsor is part of the shirt print that works for me... my 00/01 shirt now says " r ls h" on the front of it.

Yes to the sponsor going a hoop up as well... I couldn't work out what was bugging me about the home kit but I think that was it. It would be much clearer on the white. Black on red is hard to focus on, especially on moving objects.

The solid colour on the arms is nice too (when it's solid red or solid white)... I love the hoops but hoopy sleeves makes it a bit too hoopy overall, especially on a long sleeve.

I will pass this on to Rosey and I’m sure we can hold these for you. Were you planning to see John Mac to pay on Sunday or if otherwise can you let us know by email or at the match?

Cheers

If anyone wants to pay by card, you can see John Mac on Sunday or email supporters@kingstonian.com to arrange. You can, of course, also arrange this via the Club Shop.

Nice of the club to let us know that the club captain has
left and is already playing for someone else.
Not that they have to I suppose.
