By win % the best three is:

1. Alan Dowson 48.6%
2. Geoff Chapple 47.3%
3. Craig Edwards 45.45%

My favourite three to watch:

1. Dowse
2. Chapple
3. Sedgley

Can't argue with that.

The only additions would be Peter Gleeson who "managed" the club from 1957-1967 so had the Amateur Cup Final 59/60, Semi Final in 63/64, picked up some trophies like Surrey Senior Cup and London Senior Cup, and consistently had K's top 5 in one of the three major amateur pre Conference leagues. But I don't think he had the full managerial powers a manager has today.

Also Billy Miller who got K's promoted but unlike Dowse didn't progress much in the league above.

Honourable mentions for managers that might have been if they had been given more time- Droy, Westley, Sedgely plus Kelly for an entertaining team but without any major success to show for it.

I’m going to give Craig Edwards a mention. He came in late in the season and saved the club from relegation. All this with an inherited squad as it was too late to sign anyone.

He left with the club in the playoff positions. He left citing budget cuts only for his successor to sign a lot of players and some for fees.

I can only comment on the modern era since Chapple, I don't think anyone would argue with him and Dowse as the top 2. I'd have Ian McDonald above Bird though. He came in post-Khosla and built a side that was fun to watch, was unlucky to miss out on the playoffs and won us a famous victory in the Surrey Senior Cup. He was very harshly sacked without getting the second chance that Dowse got.
