PSF's?

Bit early to announce news of pre-season friiendlies I suppose?,
but did the club negotiate such an arrangement with Middlesborough or Wycombe Wanderers for the transfers of Bryant Bilongo and Declan Skura respectively?

A good few clubs are revealing their pre season schedule so would guess we’ll know ours hopefully soon, end of May latest.

Wycombe will just be a Wycombe XI though they have changed gaffer Ks since Declan signed. Gareth Ainsworth moved to QPR (bit hit & miss at QPR) & ex Wycombe Midfielder Matt Bloomfield is in the Gaffer now.

Relevent/irrelivent question: did we ever get our Mansfield friendly for Giles Coke?

Or, Gavin Holligan or, Geoff Pitcher?
West Ham and Brighton respectively.

Pretty sure we played West Ham in pre season 99/00 and lost 4-1. Not sure if anyone else can confirm?

I don't remember any Brighton friendly ever being played and we definitely didn't have a friendly with Mansfield.

I can confirm this is correct. A brace from Paolo Di Canio and one each from Trevor Sinclair and Joe Cole I believe. However the goal of the night was scored by K’s trialist Chris Fry. Beautiful strike from around 25 yards, didn’t see him again after that game.

‘I don't remember any Brighton friendly ever being played’

We definitely played them in a PSF also before 99/00 season. Finished 1-1 with Phil Wingfield netting for us.

http://www.kingstonian.net/report.jsp?20092010/WestH

As well as four LCC games against West Ham (in the '20s, '30s & '40s) we played two friendlies against them, one each in 1999 and 2009.

No report exists for any of them except the last of those, 31st Jul 2009. With a line-up that included some of my all-time favourite Ks players; Tommy Williams, Francis Duku, Max Hustwick, Liam Collins, Carl Wilson-Denis and Jon Coke.

I'm pretty sure that one of those friendlies featured West Ham's Neil "Razor" Ruddock being a right fkn animal! Anything but friendly.

Definitely played West Ham... iirc the matchday programme was a 'double header' with another pro club, possibly the extinct Wimbledon?

Looks like Wycombe is a possibility:

"Finally, the Club would like to thank Tom Holder, Sam Grace and Gareth Ainsworth at Wycombe Wanderers for their professionalism during negotiations, and we look forward to welcoming Wycombe Wanderers for a pre-season friendly, which was agreed as part of the deal."

A trip to Middlesborough would be different.

Keith.

Why worry, be happy.

I imagine it’s likely there’ll be a PSF game against Tooting & Mitcham.
