We need to recruit Step 3 or above players whom have already got the experience of playing regularly at this level.

Although he signed from Hartley wintney and is getting on a bit in terms of playing career, Matt Drage has plenty of experience at level 3. I understand what you are saying though.
However, I think Simon Lane is a safe pair of hands and nearly all the players he's signed so far are from a level below.
Personally, I think all those signed up already are capable of competing at our level. Who knows what budget the manager is having to work with?, but I'm sure he'll be using his contacts to get the best he can in.

I wonder if Simon Lane has seen Tom Theobald at Epsom & Ewell a top keeper and shot stopper!

Excellent news. All the re-signing info providing lots of reassurance and positivity after last year's uncertainty when Hayden Bird left us.
Can’t wait to get back to Merton to cheer on the boys!

I am always optimistic where K's are concerned. I was in my early teens when I first went to a match at Richmond Road, in the late fifties. That optimism has never gone away, where ever K's play. Each close season is a very boring time, when will next season start etc ? Thankfully the pre-season friendlies fill that void. The last times I watched a K's game was 1960 and what a wonderful day that was, at Wembley Stadium. Come on you K's
