A successful club can quickly grow a support and e marketing can obv help too, but Chatham has how many teams playing in their area. Were Gillingham at home - otherwise no one. Ramsgate? No offence but these teams are in the arse end of nowhere. Within the catchment for Ramsgate Ks might have ten plus teams at our level or above. Just look at the teams near where I live. If Horsham or Lewes are at home when Brighton are away crowds go up. Lewes have no one around them neither do Hastings. Horsham have Crawley. Available supporter numbers are locality dependent. We don’t have a successful team people would want to support or even a locality to draw from and will always be trying to attract from a large number of clubs with current fans. We face a difficult task but somehow we need to find a decent team because we aren’t going to attract anyone anywhere in south London to watch a relegation based team in an area. the team doesn’t come from.
