My view is neither. I must admit when I posted Ibwasn’t expecting to win a popularity contest.

Unfortunately if people are deterred from posting because of the style of responses they get then perhaps the forum is not living up to its ideals.
It has been noted on here of some disappeared from posting . Perhaps the forum is in decline.
