I think there is a bad situation with clubs in the London area at our level unable to attract crowds to sustain the respective clubs. Apart from Dulwich (1500 +) and the next two or three 400-500 it pretty dire. We are seeing a gap between the above and clubs in the outer reaches of our league. We are also seeing a gap between those with money men and those without. There were rumour last year of Hornchurch paying £1000 a week for a Folkestone player.. Unfortunaly for fan owned clubs it’s an uphill task
Jon, when the KBH were in discussions did they have an idea of the annual running costs of a club at our level or were they reliant on receiving info from the directors which may not have been forthcoming?
I am not sure whether doubling of gates would make a significant difference
As you will rightly point out the more important factor is getting back closer to the centre of Kingston and attracting sponsorship.
Dulwich, with the crowds they got last year (often 2k plus) still got relegated

As you really know the point of my post was not comparing clubs but pointing out that the warm weather,fa cup and groundhoppers were not an attraction elsewhere in the Sunday games
