Actually, the football club does have a Kingstonian FC Facebook site.

The new owners have said they want to try and improve the relationship with fans and maybe this could result in their moving back to posting on here. However, I can understand if they don’t feel minded to post on a site with a great big banner at the top calling for their dismissal. For sure, the new owners need to make good on promises of improved communication, but maybe we could meet them partway? Just a thought.

A few years ago I would have said that this forum was far away the main source of information about the K’s. However, social media now has a far greater reach. For example, a recent post here about the appointment of Tutu as our new manager got six likes and 876 views. A post on Twitter however got 131 likes and 22K views. The post about Tutu’s appointment on the Club’s Facebook page got 43 likes.

Having said that it must be acknowledged there are still a minority who use the internet but not social media and the Forum does have the potential to increase our reach so this seems a conversation worth pursuing.
