Why would the club ask AFCW to ask Chelsea and not approach Chelsea themselves. Your quotes prove there was no direct approach to Chelsea.

Regardless, in a meeting with Mark a few months ago which I already posted about on here, the decision to leave KM early was purely due to the sum of over a million pounds being given to the club. Had the club decided to sue for a breach of contract, we may have only been given around £300k in compensation.

There was no talk of staying on at KM.
