I found this section - "... of this amount..." - difficult to follow. Is the money ultimately down to £550 000 or £500 000?

Either figure is appalling.

RPV rent is around £20 000. It seems the new board and its investors could not muster that sum to pay the rent and so chose to further risk Ks future.
