We started very well and could have scored two early goals. The problem is that, even if those chances had gone in, Chichester would have still been well capable of exposing us in the end. Their goals seemed so easy.

I get the "we play a certain way and so we'll concede" argument but that's not much use/comfort against good teams.

I like Bradders and Simon a lot and Flaherty is fun. The left-back seemed OK. Maybe Mitchal Gough will significantly improve us - but we've heard nothing about when he'll be back.

Going out of the cup so early presumably heralds a budget cut. A Trophy win on Friday could stave that off for a while.

I'm still not sure what we're trying to do: get promoted back to a league we just took voluntary relegation from? Invest in the team for a lucrative cup run? Get fans back (200 today)?
