This is going to be a long post, so bare with, as I look through this forum over time. Firstly, I want to start off by saying everything that gets said on here, regarding different topics, whether positive or negative, is fine. I won't be commenting on anything regarding the board & fans situation - that's solely between the SC & board to address over time. What I do want to address, is comments that have been made & what feels like the overall negativity surrounding the club (I'm very aware the board/SC/ownership relationship is a big part of that), which ultimately does impact us boys playing week in, week out. I'm not saying to ignore & not comment on any team performances/individual performances/management thoughts, but to be mindful that as outsiders, we have all come to this club for 1 reason & it's to get Kingstonian back to the level it once was. I am also doing this completely rogue, so anything I say is my own personal thoughts.

Firstly, I have not ran this past anyone to jump on here, so I'm hoping you see I'm doing this as, us players, want to have good relationships with fans and start to get better attendances at games, that will only happen if there's some form of relationship all round. What I would like to do as one of the players, is to start bridging the gap between us players & supporters. I've seen previously mentioned that some supporters feel they "don't really know us" as players & I completely appreciate that. I won't be heavily involved on this forum as I check it from time-time, moreso out of personal curiosity. However, if there's any questions/concerns people have, please feel free to address to myself & I can speak with the boys/management/whatever, to get clarity on anything football related.

I am completely understanding of people allowing to have personal opinions, as paying supporters so I'm going to start by addressing the recent one in this thread that solely mentioned myself.
Gary - whilst I appreciate the sentiment behind the compliment, I thought I'd provide some further context behind my decision & why you might understand better behind my decision to "get battered at Cobham". I'm a London boy born & bred who moved over to Basingstoke 3 years ago & now considering moving back to London, therefore Kingstonian is a local club considering family/friends all live in Surrounding boroughs. I completely disagree with your point around playing with friends - the players are some I've known for 10+ years in Mitchel Gough & moreso recently friendships I've developed with other players over the past few years. I also have a huge amount of admiration for Scott as a manager (and a person - my old Basingstoke Manager is the one who highly recommended me to play under Scott as he's one of the good guys in non-league) & he was also a big reason behind my decision, to hopefully get Kingstonian promoted again (which I still thoroughly believe we will do).

There has been a lot of comments about the defending side recently, again completely justified, however it should be targeted at all of us, not just the back 4 & keeper, who I have seen come scrutiny recently. We win/lose as a team & therefore attack/defend as a team. We are all not pulling our weight defensively, but I do believe we can work on it & change things. Scott & Martyn are the men to lead us to promotion & as a squad, we believe in them to fix the issues at hand. It is a very long season, it's not the same league that all of this squad played in 2/3 years ago when we got promoted at our individual clubs, therefore it's going to be a season with ups & downs. I'd like to think that we are all in this for the long run, behind Scott & come the end of the season, be back playing at Step 3.
